About

Anna von Hausswolff

Anna von Hausswolff is a Swedish musician and composer from Gothenburg whose work carves out space for the transcendent to enter the modern world. Taking the pipe organ as her instrument of choice, she has spent over a decade moving between doom, drone, folk and sacred music across Ceremony, The Miraculous, Dead Magic and All Thoughts Fly.

ICONOCLASTS, released 31 October 2025 on YEAR0001 and produced with long-time collaborator Filip Leyman, is her sixth album. An opus of anthemic ritualism, it features Iggy Pop, Ethel Cain, Abul Mogard and Maria von Hausswolff. It was first staged live in 2024 as Atlas Song, with choreographers Imre and Marne van Opstal and the Gothenburg Opera Dance Company.
